International EMF Safety Level Standards
New York Public Service Commission Magnetic Field Standards
“The transmission line standards/guidelines for magnetic and electric fields in New York can be described as follows: The maximum magnetic field at the edge of a right-of-way for a major transmission line is 200 mG. as set forth in the Statement of Interim Policy on Magnetic Fields of Major Transmission Facilities, issued and effective September 11, 1990. (Reference 4) • The maximum electric field at the edge of a right-of-way for a major transmission line is 1.6kV/m as set forth in PSC Opinion 78-13, dated June 19, 1978.”
Note: The reference link I wanted to supply you is a PDF download that would only open on my browser. The PDF download captured my full name in the address link. I didn’t realize this would happen until after I downloaded the PDF. When I conducted the same Google search : “NYS AC Magnetic Safety Limits” , this was the top selection in the search. With a new incognito window, the search produced no result. Apparently, one cannot open this PDF without their name being recorded in the address bar along with the file.
