What Does an EMF Testing Cost?

There are various ways an EMF Testing & Consulting Company can provide a price quote for your EMF on-site services. Some companies use square-footage metrics, number of rooms and floors, type of dwelling (apartment vs. the stand-alone house), hourly rate, or any variation of the above.

Michael Neuert, an experienced EMF consultant, charges $180/hr plus $90/hr travel time. Any report would cost extra. For example, if he had a 4-hour roundtrip ($360) and the EMF survey and consultation took four hours ($720), the cost for his client would be $1,080.

Michael is located in a suburb of California, Santa Rosa, where the relative living costs are lower than in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or New York City, so some city EMF consultants may charge more. (Although Michael is not a certified EMRS, he might be the only EMF consultant I would recommend, who doesn’t have this distinction. I studied with Michael Neuert. He knows his stuff.)

Because of the cost doing business in a major city, I’ve heard that some EMF consultants charge a fee of $200-250 per hour.

At Elexana, we take into account specific determining factors:

  • estimated length of time of a prospective testing

  • estimated travel costs; if leaving New York City

  • estimated travel time

number of rooms, number of bedrooms and workstations (We pay special attention to the sleeping areas and workstations, so they are weighted.)

square-footage of the home and size of the property

Once we have all of the required information, we then log this data into a computer algorithm which then prints out an invoice. Your cost of services will never exceed the amount on the invoice.

That all said, we are possibly looking to return to the fee/hour method. It reduces office workload and is perhaps more equitable to both the client and us.

(If you plan to fly us to your city or country, then there is the essential addition of the cost of the flight, car service, the estimated total hours of travel time, and local hotel charges; if an over-night stay is required.)

If you are trying to decide on which EMF Services company to hire, look to see what services you will be receiving. Don’t just go with the lowest bid. Please, know that no two EMF Services Companies are the same. It all depends on the knowledge, experience, thoroughness, and level of care which the EMF Consultant brings to the visit.

Some companies will purposefully quote a low-ball figure figuring that they can convince you to buy Stetzer or Green Wave plug-in filters. You cannot count on receiving an accurate and unbiased assessment if the consultant is planning on selling you commissioned products.

When it comes to EMF remediation, our practice is first to suggest the most practical, cost-effective solutions. Often, the Law of Diminishing Returns applies to outlay on EMF mitigation, too. Costs for remediation are analogous to buying stereo equipment; you could pay so much more for only a small increment of improvement. We will work with you to help determine what is best for your EMF situation and budget.

Much of the EMF remediation you’ll need can happen at no cost during the EMF testing and consultation.

Over the weekend, I had a new client from Santa Monica, California. She informed me that the City of Santa Monica holds EMF testing to be so important to health that it is now funding EMF testing for every resident of Santa Monica.

If everyone knew how impactful EMF is to health, our receptionists at ELEXANA would be overwhelmed with callers.

So, what does an EMF testing cost? Just give us a ring @ (212) 706-1252, and we will provide you with a complimentary quote. It would be our pleasure to meet you and hopefully, have the opportunity to offer our services.
